Pam,

You're braver than you believe and stronger than you seem and smarter than you think." -- Christopher Robin

And your presence here in Puna will be missed more than you know. May you heal quickly - and completely this time.

PS Isn’t it a bit unnerving that doctors call what they do “practice”?

OH, LIZ, WHAT A wonderful visit we had today. Michael is soooo receptive to your information on the greenhouse stuff. I enjoyed your smiling faces.

Kathy came by, picked the soybeans and made a batch for dinner. No one else rally cared about them (but that is because Wendy is sick and didn't make dinner; I know she would love them - I loved no competition!). They were a nice side dish to dinner warm and garlicky as she made them. However, I gobbled down the leftovers cold as a snack as I was reading tonight and they were the BOMB. Oh, we will b planting and growing plenty of those now. I always love eating foods from our gardens but this was over the top good...... Yayyyyyyyyyy

Best wishes, Pam. We've never met but I read punaweb regularly, and visit Puna 2-3 times/year. I'm a five-year cancer survivor myself. I'll be sending you all the good vibes and wishes for God's grace to help you through.
Looking forward to reading your posts again soon!

((Pam)) We totally enjoyed our visit with you, and the farm tour with Michael. Silly cows wouldn't come out from the back pasture but we'll check on them next time. Hang in there & we'll see you on the flipside!

Hi Pam, my husband and I met you at Scuba Sunday a few months ago. You had volunteered Benito to hang out with our grandson, Saige (12 yrs. old), when we finally move into our home in HPP! We love reading about your experiences on the farm and have laughed and cried with you. Saige had medulloblastoma at age 6 and went through radiation and chemo at Loma Linda. He wants you to know that "you can kick cancers' behind" and you get to eat chocolate pudding for breakfast! We are looking forward to helping you with the babies when we come to the farm! In our hearts, J, Jeannie, and Saige

For all of you who have offered practcal assistance... we re getting near there now.... I have become too weak to cook or be up from bed much at all. That of course means laundry and morning meals with Bob gone. We are working ut his schedule. Unfortunately he is sick with a bacterial URI so it's crzy here. With the little ones returned to Texas we have a chance to get in order. They were lke having Charles Shultz Pigpen enter a room four times a day! Eeeeekkkkkk....

We are coordination cleaning through our friend Marie Stumpf. Call Her 985 9230. You can phone her, offer your times/services aailability but understand that for these firtst few weeks while things get in order and we get to know one another, it iwll be rift with control issues and schedule problems etc..... just take a deep breath. Oh, and she is not really a Punawebber so she may nog get that all together... give her time Smile She is a good spirit.

So, just phone her, say you are a friend of Pam Lamont and want to jump in on the schedule of getting her house and stuff together with your offer of manpower and would like to meet her. I am allowing myself to be confident it will come together. We may need a new "tem leader" in the long run; this will be a learning experience.

Truth is I am used to driving all this stuff and I can not. I can't think, I am a little emotionally labile, I have lots of pain these days and it's all coming fast.

Surviving till I go to surgery the 28th is first and foremos and coming home t clean, order and system will be next.

Thank you all for your efforts. Also nnow that I KNOW that even though we mean it when we ofer to be part of something like this, it isn't always possibe to followthrough the way we want to. We all take a deep breath and learn to trust one another.

With wrm thanks.... PAM
