Shipping my HHR to Hawaii
#11
I moved 2 cars with the Kona Car guy.
Went off without a hitch.
Life is unique in the alternative world of Hawaii.
Everything here requires patience.
Moving a car is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Thanks for the info. We have tried for 2 months to contact this guy with no response, so now I will stop trying and go with Matson or Horizon.

Thanks again for posting.

Moving in or out it does not matter. 2012 or 2013 it does not matter. Our "name" on Punaweb also just a name it does not matter.... The experience is important. Negative or positive remarks.... People NEEDS to know!
Good day to you!

You have one post and your name indicates you are moving to Hawaii in 2013?? I am not one to make negative remarks here on Punaweb but ...seriously?

After the tedious post you wrote, I feel you and your wife are special needs people. If you are moving to Puna area, oh boy, you better rent and keep you belongings at home, wherever that is.

Perhaps I have misunderstood your post but having gone through the move of a car and a sort-of container myself, there are usually some glitches that moving companies have to deal with and I am sure the Kona guy had an adequate disclosure statement that you should have read carefully.

As for me? I prepared for the potential unexpected incidents (pocketbook-wise) and was so happy to finally be settled in my little house with my car in it's canopy garage, sitting on my teeny lanai and breathing this wonderful Hawaiian air![8D] It was worth it.

Kona Car Guy?

Yup..... my car was not waiting for me as promised. No apology. I had my young adopted daughter who I had to leave on a curb at the airport with piles of luggage as her and I just moved here. I had to leave her and go rent a car. Finally after months of bugging him I finally got restitutions for the car I had to rent and the taxi to finally get my car which was sitting in a lot near Costco the whole time. Uggggg......

I shipped my car from Oakland on Dec 20th 2011 and it arrived in Hilo on Jan 5th 2012. It cost me 1075.00 and it showed up in the same condition I left it in. This was thru Matson.

Don't use Kona Car Guy. Do your own homework!!! Do not read Konaweb Forum, they are deleting negative comments or negative experiences ALL the time.http://konacarguy.blogspot.com/2013/01/kona-containercar-guy-sucks-jim-mccain.html

That is a little unfair, none of your posts has been deleted! The time I have been with Punaweb, comments that are deleted are at our request. I have done that myself quite a few times.
