trees going down 1/2/2014

Just heard a couple of big albizia go down. Haven't heard that sound since Iselle. The wind is rockin' and rollin' in HPP tonight.

What area? The wind was strong here in HPP a while ago, but no trees down near me. We did, however, have one of those wonderful Helco moments where the power went off for 45 seconds and screwed up some electronics.

Where else, Maku'u side, land of off island owners with lots full of giant albizia on their lots. We lost power for about 45 minutes earlier today too.

Heard a tree or big limb come down in the area of 13th and Maku'u about an hour ago.... Some pretty significant gust here too!

We've now had a total of six power outages in central HPP in the past hour and a half lasting from 45 seconds to 20 minutes. Between the wind and the power failures, my dog thinks Iselle is coming back and is quite unhappy about it.

It is very Iselle-like out there. If this really peaks with the worst arriving tomorrow early morning, it's going to be interesting. Cuddle up and stay safe everyone!

Agree, sounds much like Iselle here in HB. Empty lot next to us, trees/branches coming down. No sleep tonight, stay safe!
