We wanna go full tiki on a garden hut. Does anyone have a source for synthetic thatch? The real, vegetative thatches only last a couple of years here.

If you Google 'roof thatch', several sites come up. I used to have one site bookmarked...I think it was calibamboo.com, or something similar, but I can't remember exactly. Another perk of being a Senior#128513;

I think we saw some synthetic thatch at Bamboo Too near the International Market Place in Kona.

Thanks for the link, Carey. And D.Dave, I'll give them a call.
Still interested in other sources if anybody knows...

An Indian inventor figured out how to cementitously coat palm fronds. You should look that up.

I rented a thatched "Tipi" like stucture in Costarica, but had to stay somewhere else ... the thatch can be a real mildue/chemical attractor ... or perhaps the owners were careless.
***Still can't figure out how to spell 'car' correctly***
