Hawaiian bobsled team
#1
Our car wouldn't start the other day. My son and I pushed it up the driveway and onto our street. First push, no luck. Then a pick-up truck stopped and a guy and his son (it looked like) got out and we all shoved Old Dependable and she started up. As they left the dad cheerfully called the effort a job by the Hawaiian Bobsled Team. Cool runnings, brah. Mahalo. Puna no ka oi (sorry Maui).

Great story for the times, Mr. Easterling! Puna no ka oi, indeed! EO!

Have a lovely day.

Not Hawaii related, but back in the 80s Jamaica had a bobsled team which competed in the Olympics. Everyone thought it was a joke and they didn't do too well, but on the other hand it was wonderful to watch those guys give it a go.

This was John Candy's last movie; he played the coach. I haven't watched it in years, but think I'll order it from netflix now:

Always thought it was bobsleigh...
