Hi y'all.
I'll be on Big Island the 3rd week in May, looking to have a proper survey done on my 1 acre lot. I'm seeking info on fees, and would welcome any recommendations on surveyors in Puna.

Independent Surveyors was recommended to me. They charge about $900 including tax.
But they're booked until July.

Wow! $900 ????? How big of a lot? I need to have 8500 sq feet surveyed. Is it going to be that expensive?

We have 30 acres and it cost $3500 to have it surveyed. It also took almost two months before they got it done. Be happy if it only costs $900.

Independent quoted me $750 including tax for one acre, they're booked till July, mid July. You need to pay them first to get on wait list.
I've heard if you pay a couple of hundred bucks more you can get the work done from other companies in a week.

So can anyone give me names and numbers of surveyors? We are in Puna down on the Red Road. I am going to be there in November and would like to have it done then. I think neioghbors on either side of me recently surveyed so it should be an easy job.
