abandoned cars
#1
I recently moved to hawaiian shores and have noticed 2 abandoned cars on the road. What can be done to remove these? I heard from the neibors the police won't do much. What can we do to clean this embarassment up?

I have read of this problem often, but don't have any contact for you as I'm still on the mainland. I'm sure someone on this site has this info, also on the FernAcres board minutes it speaks about how to notify the authorities. http://www.fernacres.org/ Perhaps you could try the HPP forum also as it is close to you http://www.fernacres.org/, perhaps a kind sole on this forum will have several good ideas also. Best of luck. Mella L

there is a new county program starting on july 1, they are compiling a list of cars which the county will remove from private property. you need to call the solid waste division and get your name on the list.

i live in hawaiian beaches just across the kahakai and we do not have ccr's or a community association but hawaiian shores does have community association and ccr's.
this is a very very common problem. i have heard that other areas have 1,000's of abandoned cars. sorry i can't be of much more help.
