Might be a job opening?

Not just one, but dozens. I believe the State of Hawaii has discovered a perpetual employment scheme, maximizing the number of "workers," even providing employment for workers who don't work:

First, the worker was given over 9 months paid leave ($60,000 - $85,000?), which does not include the cost of the people involved in the investigation:

Following department procedure, after 30 days of unpaid leave, Forbes remained on paid leave for nine months, until she was notified this week that she will be fired, effective December 18.
Her monthly pay ranges from $6,468 to $8,969, prisons officials said.

Second, her attorney is going to challenge the firing, involving even more state workers:

Forbes' attorney expects to challenge her termination before the state Merit Appeals Board, which hears cases involving state government managers.

Third, even longer, with yet more state workers:

Hong also plans to file cases with the Civil Rights Commission and the state Labor Board.

The total cost is bound to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Then, when another state agency finds out how long it took and how much it cost to investigate, they will launch a new inquiry into whether the original investigation could have been accomplished in a more timely and fiscally responsible manner. The second investigatory team will be forced to give paid leave to the investigator of the original case for possible misuse of departmental resources, workers, and funds.

However, this new investigation will only add to the total amount wasted, then leading to a third discovery into whether the second investigation was throwing good money after bad... etc, etc, etc

Ted Hong is taking on yet another disgruntled fired employee case....

I would love to know how much Ted Hong has profited from these cases...all at taxpayer expense!
