Why are so many people driving so fast and crazy all of a sudden? We are on an island, yeah, a big island but not that big. What is the fricking hurry? The tourists are understandable, they are trying to go around the whole island in a few days. This wreck is horrific. What is the rush when the cost can be death and injury?

"Aloha also means goodbye. Aloha!"

I have yet to actually drive it, but, the map clearly shows Ainaloa ends on Road 9. Why do people keep saying Road 8 ??

Edit:
Do you turn right on 9, then left on F, up to 8 ??

Yes. People say 8 road because you only drive on 9 road for a short stretch.

At the top of Ainaloa, you jog right (I forget the street name, begins with a K, I think), then turn left on F for a block, and right on 8. If you run out of pavement, turn around and figure out where you went wrong.

Of course, it's rather longer than 130, and the speed limit is 25mph the whole way.

If they are telling drivers to stay on the pavement, why send them up Pohaku?
