Wonder if http://www.acpeds.org is a bogus site somehow.
The American College of Pediatricians is a conservative group founded in 2002 that split from the more familiar American Academy of Pediatrics founded back in 1930. This should help explains some of their policy statements that Kirt highlighted
Thanks ironyak.

Wikipedia on The American College of Pediatricians:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/American...iatricians
The content under the headings "Positions" and "Reception" is quite revealing as to what sort agenda has driven instances of research being misused and mischaracterized by the ACPeds as claimed by various professionals.

Maybe, in retirement, I'll start a business offering courses on skepticism, just to help with expenses. That's a long way off, but sometimes I just despair.

Seriously, I would think such a course offering holds the potential to be quite beneficial and interesting for attendees.
ETA: A healthy skepticism, of course ...just to clarify

IMHO, If you'd ever seen HPV close up, as in A Surgical Suite, you'd want to do whatever possible to prevent it. I've seen too many heartbroken, beautiful young women, who will never bear children due to HPV. HPV does cause Cervical Ca.

Thanks, PM2, and yes, healthy skepticism, not just skepticism for the hell of it. I generally recommend using Carl Sagan's baloney detection kit when considering other people's claims, it's a powerful list of suggestions to follow (and is the basis of the scientific method):

The video there is well worth watching.

You may want to reconsider.

An excellent example to see if the baloney detection kit works.

Thanks for the link PM2. It's always good to have as much information as possible, pro and con before making decisions regarding health, especially if it's your children's health.
No vaccine is 100% safe for everyone. We all need to weigh the benefits vs risk, and that's what people on this thread are doing.
I am not an advocate for the HPV Vaccine per se.
I am however an advocate for educating those at risk, especially our precious youth, on how to protect themselves from transmission of this and other very common, preventable STD's.
