Firearms incident in HPP - Jan 26th
#11
this nixle alert makes no sense

Media coverage makes even less sense:

six firearms violations. ... released Rodrigues pending further investigation.

Seems like he should have been locked up, then released on a couple hundred dollars' bail.

I found the Facebook thread on this. I will show the comments of the gent who lives right there, but won't give his nmae.

"Looks like road rage. Handgun was discharged cops looking for the shooter. Right by my house".

"Not an AK. Was a handgun. Police confirmed it. Both incidences were related apparently"

"I was one of the neighbors interviewed. It's been pretty safe. The mail carrier I guess never noticed anything as he was calmly sorting the mail. I've been home all day and so far nothing since."

"Cop told me it was a handgun."

"I was interviewed by the police. I'm thinking it was Big Island News as there's no way any of the three major news stations here could get a crew out here that fast."

If anyone wants to read the whole thread, it's on a Facebook page called Big Island Thieves. Hey, I didn't name it.
