I am not sure about straw,but I bought a similar wide brim hat from Keaau Ace. They had several styles in the right front corner.

There is a place in Hilo old town between farmers market and KTA. They sell all kinds of them. Kind of a hit and miss tho. I like the ones with holes all around vent holes to let air in on the sides. I also like the wide brim. If you find the style you like and fit, get 3 or 4 of them. Usually the ones I keep finding are really flimsy and poorly made. I'm looking again... Wish they had just a HAT store here that specialized only in hats.

I got my favorite gardening hat in the last place I would have suspected to find one -- Volcano House gift shop in HVNP. $18 - safari style look - stiff not flimsy, nice wide brim, wide open mesh at top for air, tightens inside. A ton better than the super expensive Tilley Airflo I bought a few years back. Next time I'm up in Volcano I'm going to buy another one.

I second Dolly's on Mamo between the market and KTA. I got a wide brim cloth hat there that is working fine so far. The marked price was $12.50, but my wife bargained it down to $10.
