Cat 5 hurricane headed to lower 48.
Donate locally to food basket.
During the hurricane we had a few years ago Texas gave a big fat ZERO to this island.
Wait a week or two and see where Irma will devastate next .
Bangladesh - large portions of India and Nepal suffering far worse than Texas.

Irma is a CAT 2 right now and is 3,500 miles away from Houston. Harvey formed in the Gulf. Irma formed in the South Central Atlantic.

If Texas was a nation they would be the tenth richest nation in the world.(Google it) oil, cattle, shipping ports, ect. Texas IMO is the only state in the US that has its sh@t together. Break into a house in Texas, your gonna get shot.

An interesting metric for evaluating a state-gun laws. Well, FWIW, their violent crime rates are much higher than Hawaii's.

And, they certainly don't have their act together with the development of Houston, in regards to flooding concerns. They've been guilty of dumb growth there for several decades.
