Did “they” just start calling ocean entry plumes “laze” for this event?
There have been ocean entries before and I never heard the term laze being applied to the plumes of those entries.

I would hardly call billowing clouds of toxic steam 'haze' or 'laze'.
I don't know what kind of game they are playing.
Wouldn't vog be laze.

I talked to USGS last night about this. They said they were frustrated with the national media. Fact is they taught the media a new word "laze", and the media loved it.
As frustrated as they claimed to be when Steve from USGS made his presentation he neglected to correct the language. This "laze" is the exact same stuff tourists have been flocking to view at Kalapana for years.
Assume the best and ask questions.

It's cool that they have a word that isn't a mile long.

I don't remember when I first heard it, but the term "laze" (lava haze) has been around for years, maybe decades.

So is a laze enthusiast referred to as a Lazer? If there is a lot of lava but not much laze, is the lava not Lazey? If the laze appears to die out, and somebody brings it back, is the laze called Lazerous? Lava chicken laze an egg?

Puna Dayz of Lava Laze and Haze, sounds like Richard Ha’s first strain available in 2027.

it could be a cross between the original Puna Budder and one of the Haze strains, such as Neville's or Super Silver, there's a couple others that I'm forgetting lol. [
