I also saw an article on Reddit about how this virus is patented by Bill Gates and intentionally released as part of the Agenda 21 program of mass depopulation or as in reaction as "they" have no other way to stop Trump. Reddit is nothing if not entertaining.
More seriously, if you have a specific source that details what antivirals have been tested so far I would be interested. Such work is obviously underway, but haven't seen any results published that shows all antiviral drugs don't work. (Even if they don't, it's still not the end of the world, much to people's dismay apparently)

"The Beijing branch of China’s National Health Commission said that a combination of lopinavir and ritonavir, sold under the brand name Kaletra by AbbVie, is part of its latest treatment plan for patients infected by the virus, which has killed at least 56 people in China and sickened more than 2,000 worldwide.
The NHC said that while there is not yet any effective anti-viral drug, it recommends patients be given two lopinavir and ritonavir tablets twice a day and a dose of alpha-interpheron through nebulization twice daily.
Medical journal Lancet said on Friday that a clinical trial is under way using ritonavir and lopinavir to treat cases of the new coronavirus."

"But the latest announcement said that a 36-year-old man from Wuhan, identified only by his family name, Li, died on Thursday. He had no chronic diseases or other existing health conditions, and had been treated with anti-virus medication and antibiotics since being admitted to a hospital on Jan. 9."

Checked in more airbnb guests from China today, however this couple can only stay one night. They just got word must return immediately to evacuate students. Yikes.

Virus has been confirmed in both Los Angeles County and Orange County, California. I am sure it will find its way to the happiest place on earth as that is where most viruses are spread...Disneyland.

.punatic007 might want to tell your guests from China about research after the sars outbreak. Plant sources to rid sars. Yes I know it is a variant of this virus, but there is a chance these could be helpful. Better than just supportive care and there is just so much interferon and other meds. Here are links.

https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/ar...4205000690. Lycoris radiata also know as red spider lily was very potent against the virus and it grows in China.

Punatic007 I also understand they are using HIV drugs for some of the corona patients in China. Here is a link to Hawaiian antiviral plants found for ridding HIV.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23194626/ Give your guests big warm cups of mamaki tea before they leave to help their immune system.

Thanks twofeet, I'll do my best to pass on the info if they are receptive. Herbs are great, nice to know the research includes herbology.

Thanks Kander. The introduction was brief they are staying in another house. One handshake and my hands were washed with the 20 second rule then sanitized. Just got a request from another reservation in March from China to extend their stay here. So far not seeing anything from the State Dept. other than don't go to Wuhan.
