Thanks Paul, I just found it..... China Eastern Air suspended flights to USA of its own volition, not US policy. Hmmmm. I would prefer it be our policy and decision not that of an airline.

China Eastern Airlines informed government officials today about its decision to suspend flights to Hawaii starting Monday in response to the deadly virus, said Lt. Gov. Josh Green.

It is the only airline providing direct flights between China and Hawaii and does not have any more flights to the island today.


“It’s a good thing that China Eastern has suspended their flights, but we still need to be vigilant about any passengers that are redirected through other countries to our state,” he said

There's a good reason they ended it, the US government does not allow any non-US citizens or permanent residents who have been in mainland China in the last two weeks to travel to the US. From anywhere, let alone from mainland China!
That has been the case for a while so those flights would've been empty.

It's not a theory, it's a working hypothesis which so far hasn't been shown to be wrong, in fact pretty much everything falls into place.

Maybe I didn’t word it properly but I experienced firsthand on a recent flight to the U.S. that all non-US passports were being checked for Chinese visas. US Permanent residents were excluded from the check.

Oh lovely, once you join Punaweb you are locked into that name! Heaven forbid if you leave and later decide to rejoin with a different name and if someone did or did not, does it bloody matter!

This is supposed to be a community forum, not a platform for a small clique of posters to constantly nitpick what certain people write or posts.
It is honestly irrelevant to most of us and in my opinion petty!
