Can’t they just go around or over the gates?

Puna Kai... maybe 2020? Heck it may be 2021 or later.

Looks like the first store openings might be just in time for a state or county ordered closure of non essential businesses.
Assume the best and ask questions.

... and if there is a delay in opening stores, who thinks the stoplights will continue to function for nearly no purpose, benefiting the couple of cars that turn left onto Pahoa Village Road?

Pahoa Animal Hospital at Puna Kai soft opens tomowwow July 1st and is taking new customers. If anyone takes their pet there please let me know your first impressions as I am looking for a closer driving and reasonably priced alternative to Aloha Vet in Hilo.

We have an appointment there for the 15th.

We usually go to Aloha Vet but there have been times where we had to get in quickly and they could not accommodate. It's good to have a backup and most vets have a policy where they only do urgent or emergency visits with existing customers.

I understand that the Pahoa vet clinic's veterinarian will be San Filippo, who was previously at Aloha Vet. I had seen some badmouthing of him on social media but I take that with a grain of salt.

Wife says she will NEVER take our pets to "Dr Bill" who use to be with Aloha Vet. Says his treating of our pets was horrible. Guess we'll be sticking with Aloha Vet.

So that is not the same person?  I don't know either one of them.

Dr Bill saw my older cat at Aloha Vet once, and after that I specifically asked for anyone else. He was not good with the cat, and rude to me when I tried to ask a question about a new medication being prescribed.
