. The Hawaii County Disaster Recovery Division and a Puna Councilmember are throwing another buffo bash. This one will include local food trucks, a keiki craft station, and tons of information on emergency preparedness resilience and infrastructure investments, or lack of the same.
So what's the problem? Monday's gala activities are scheduled to be held at the Sure Foundation Church on Pohaku Circle at 4:30 p.m., right as Highway 130 hits maximum afternoon traffic volume. Since the majority of attendees will be arriving from Lower Puna, a shrewd lass might have foreseen that this will likely create gridlock from the Keaau Bypass to the Pahoa Roundabout.
The scary thing is that this blowout was planned by our County disaster relief professionals.
Cowabunga, dudes!
