Hawaii scores a D on covid
#21
Iʻm curious as to what the "catastrophes"

kalianna,
I haven’t read the book, only a few positive reviews that highlighted his viewpoints.
So this is more of a guess about what the catastrophes might have been, and not necessarily based on factual details.  I think the doctor views the response of the medical profession to COVID positively, but the late actions by Hawaii government, and then the early lifting of restrictions by some County mayors as exacerbating and extending the crisis.

Thanks. Sounds like thereʻs room for debate on what should have been done, but some folks in Ukraine might take issue as to whether these things constitute a catastrophe.
Certainty will be the death of us.

I agree.
Then again I've heard there are some folks in Puna who think/thought a requirement to wear a mask in public was an unbearable catastrophe.

To me the single largest catastrophe of the government was killing all those people at the veterans home. They should have known better after watching all the north east states kill thousands in their nursing homes.
