Or they’ll force the project through like the HPP mailboxes, spend most of the money and discover it’s a Native Hawaiian burial site.  Then in the chatty HPPOA letter to homeowners they’ll inform us for the last four months the project delay is due to county officials.
HPPOA knew in May or June.  How do I know?  I was told by a site worker in June weeks after the discovery.

I would have really liked to have read about halting mailbox building in HPP because of ancient Hawaiian burial site but unfortunately its a pay only link.

Aloha,
I have closed all of my social media accounts. At least, I thought I had closed them all. This one, which I never used, is apparently still open. Sigh.
I closed (almost) all of my social media accounts because the constant meanness that some seem so happy and justified in throwing out at one another is crazy and non-productive behavior.
Cannot people have discussions, even ones where they do not agree, without slapping each other (verbally) calling each other names, disparaging one another's "mental health?"
If some of you do not agree with others, that is your perogative. If you are given history and truth that you would rather ignore that is also your perogative. If you do not like certain laws and do not see the value in them, or wish to abide by them, that is your choice as well. But there is absolutely no need to be unkind and speak about others as though they do not matter and are less deserving than yourselves.
Kindness does not cost anything, and the lack of it for "political reasons" should not be justified or tolerated.

It's probably best for you to close this account too and don't drag your drama here.

I have blocked you and and then finally had to leave the Facebook pages you were posting on.

You have been nothing but a know it all drama queen since you moved to HPP.

Please don't bring it here.

Mr. O. (or whoever you are- seems to change at any given time). You are one of the most mean. And your meanness shows in your toxic posts and replies that have popped up on this forum for over the past 5 (or more?) years. You have had a lot to say- appear to "know it all." At least "know" what you want to be truth.
The fact that you could not just read my reply. Let it stand, even though you do not, apparently, agree with it. Is precisely what I am referring to- unnecessary, uncalled for, unkind "drama."
Kindness is not about drama.

Back to the topic, part of the reason for the high cost of the Park park is the EIS, water runoff mediation, bone studies and it goes on.

All of the infrastructure was in place on Pahoa and a lot of stuff they did is grandfathered in today.

On behalf of 337 million US Citizens, I gratefully accept your apology. We are making the best of the situation.

Well, you have to be a little careful there because that number includes people like me, utter degenerates, but are still counted in the census. We can't vote (who would we vote for anyway?) and are not allowed to express our opinion in a court of law about whether someone is guilty, but being aliens, we probably don't understand laws anyway.

Now I understand.  Thank you.
I wish you all the best.

No problem. I pay taxes just like any US citizen, and I love the country. The only thing I don't want to do is file taxes every year after retirement, which US citizens have to do. I can't vote or serve on a jury, but that's my choice. I want to serve on a jury one day, but I can't be trusted because I'm an alien.
