Well now, first it was the guy who attempted to assassinate the POTUS elect with ties to Hawaii.
Now, its the suspect in the killing of the United HealthCare CEO.
"Authorities say Mangione was born and raised in Maryland, has ties to San Francisco and his last known address is in Honolulu, Hawaii, Kenny said."
Is it something in the drinking water causing this?
Go figure!

Born and raised elsewhere, probably only in Hawaii briefly. HS valedictorian and Stanford student? What a waste of intellect.

his last known address is in Honolulu, Hawaii
Hearing that description of his time in Hawaii only made me wonder, did he have mail delivery to that address? Did he have to stand in line for an hour to pick up his Amazon box at the PO? If not, is that why he moved?
Did he have trouble getting his HMSA Extra Benefits card to work?
I want the backstory.

NYT: "... In fact, the only criminal activity that seems linked to Mr. Mangione is a citation for trespassing in Hawaii."

Interesting, yet not really all that informative as to why Mangione did what he is accused of doing, with his Hawaii roommate.
(Interview with roommate starts about 1 1/2 minutes in)

These kinds of cases always intrigue me into the twists and turns and the little itty-bitty nuances of details that emerge from it.
Take for example, the sheer number of law enforcement officers, from NYPD, FBI, Homeland Security - on and on - and then imagine the collective years of experience all these officers had.
And in the end, a 6-month rookie cop in a town with a population almost the same as Hilo, answers the call, identifies the suspect and makes the arrest!
"One of the officers who helped bring in Luigi Mangione, the suspect in last week’s killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City, had only been on the force for six months, he revealed during a press conference Monday.
Altoona Police Officer Tyler Frye, who was one of two responding officers to the Pennsylvania town’s McDonald’s, said they each recognized the seated suspect once he pulled down his blue medical mask.
“We just didn’t think twice about it. We knew that was our guy,” Frye told reporters."
