Should prospective buyers, or current owners who are looking at or have property in substandard subdivisions in Puna, Hawaii, not have the information I posted?
And you "assume" wrongly. But then that is the problem with assumptions.
Hope this isn't too "convoluted" for you.
A while back, I said I was no longer going to reply to you, but I broke my own rule and went ahead and tried to have a dialog and discussion with you.
So, in that light, yes, I “assum(ed) wrongly.
Nothing I have ever said past or present has or is a personal affront to you.
I do understand why you feel that way, since your only motivation is to argue, and I challenge that argument, which you think is a personal affront.
I also noticed on another thread you posted a while back, but you were questioning the building of 2 or more ADU’s on certain lots.
So, to me, it seems you are more or less a “control freak” who desires only to regulate what everyone else can do, but you yourself, refuse to be regulated.
Since you did not answer any one of the questions I have asked, continued discussion with you is pointless.
Have fun fighting your fight! Only a truly convoluted person would enjoy doing what your seemingly love doing!
No need to reply!
I did not say I was offended by your reply or that I took it as a personal affront. WHAT I SAID was that it seemed THAT YOU TAKE ANYTHING I SAY AS A PERSONAL AFFRONT.
As for the rest of your "reply" I do not see where it has any relevance to this post. My asking questions has nothing to do with "control."
In addition, I did answer your questions. Though obviously not the way you'd wished I had.
I agree with you. Probably best that you and I do not "discuss." Especially as that is not what you want to do (at least, not with me) you would rather deflect, and personally belittle.
Did you even notice that you had NOT ONE legal, informative, or substantive comment to make about the differences between road maintenance associations, voluntary communities, planned communities, or HOAs? No, you probably did not. Because you were too focused on me and not the issues.

No, you did not. And I wished you had, but you did not.

This will be my last reply to you. My career allowed me to bill clients whose sole purpose in life was to argue for the sake of argument. There is no point in doing that without the ability to bill you.

That’s because, as a lawyer, my opinion is you have no legal argument. And you get the “Best PunaWeb Projectionism Award of 2025."

If you are going to quote Albert, you should really know about Albert. Googling and reading the first result or two can often lead you down the path you really don’t want to go down!

Ms. Know It All has "proven her point" and is "out."
Thank goodness. I thought she was actually going to do some REAL RESEARCH. As in, looking up the State Bureau of Conveyances, looking into the County requirements for establishing a REAL HOA/Planned Community, or even just state and federal laws regarding contractual law and disclosure.
Whew! All of us have been spared Julie's "expertise."
So, now that we are past all that, does anyone have any thoughts, info, regarding substandard subdivisions in Puna, Hawaii and the difference between road maintenance associations, voluntary community associations, planned communities and HOAs?
Thanks.

And before anyone checks, Quote Investigator has several, similar quotes which have been attributed to several, different people. Still, not too surprising. Great minds often think alike.

So, now that we are past all that, does anyone have any thoughts,
How much are we talking about, in dollars & cents?

How much your thoughts are "worth" depends on how helpful they are in informing others regarding the (what should not be) complex issues regarding substandard subdivisiins in Puna Hawaii and road maintenance associations, voluntary community associations, planned communities, and HOAs.
"Worth" is relative to your actual knowledge.

Are you now speaking for others?
And here I thought you would have some insight to offer on the TOPIC.

Worth is how much time and effort you want to spend on something that may not amount to much in dollars and cents. Not answering shows there’s very little to discuss here.

Often attributed to Albert, but not in reality, but my thoughts on this whole conversation, as well as debating with the OP is:
