First off HOTPE, thanks for your measured and logical response, but no, I highly doubt that Big Island farmers would use Punaweb to learn about ICE policy. There are plentiful sources on national and state news to do that. The only raids Iʻve heard about here took place in Kona a few weeks ago, and by continuing to post national policy decisions, implying that they are relevant to Hawaii, is quite a stretch from what I consider to be Punawebʻs purpose.

Thought you might like an update. The gunman was released because he didn't break any laws. He never raised the gun to fire and obviously didn't fire the gun.

He was a peaceful protester and it's not against the law to bring a weapon to a protest in Utah.

While not trying to break any PunaWeb rules with respect to the Puna and/or Hawaii related content requirement(s), or offend any other poster(s), however, since Ironyak initiated the post about the Utah tragedy and now Obie has added his confidently stated opinion as fact, I would like to clarify the facts of the matter as follows:

"The gunman was released because he didn't break any laws."

Let's be clear. 

It has not been determined that he did or did not break any laws. He was "released, pending investigation," (as we see done right here in Hawaii time after time) with restrictions placed upon him:

"In Gamboa's release order, Judge James Blanch said he must live with his father and is barred from possessing firearms, limitations to last two months or if criminal charges are pressed against him."

What a load of nonsense. Immigration and politics are general topics. Sometimes they are related to Hawaii, and sometimes they aren't. To claim that you replied in the bicker thread because it was about politics and not immigration is ridiculous and isn't credible.

Actually, the nonsense starts with someone, in this case our illustrious wannabe, telling another they are nonsense. WTF is up with that? She posted, she said her piece, who the fuck cares what you think about it? She did it, she's human, she's sincere, ain't that enough? But nooooo!

And then the nonsense continues with me posting about the nonsense you started.. and I gotta tell you, no matter how mucky muck a degree you say you got, two nonsenses don't make anymore than too stupid for primetime.. and yet you are too dense to know when to bicker and when to not.
