What "seem quite evil” to you?

Well, now you seem to be changing the subject. Do you really want me to post what I find evil about religion? It's quite a list.

The latest hypothesis, for Punatics in a "God" thread, is that these disciples of Baphomet actually live together, in the same body perhaps, most likely on Kauai, tending their idols & doing very odd things with socks, while pretending to live in Puna, where we have a decent community chat that they can constantly troll in almost every single thread. Oftentimes, (see most recent comments) they speak in unintelligible tongues, as you have noted, which reinforces the working hypothesis.

Like many ideas in this thread, it's an interesting theory Tang - how would you go about proving or disproving it?
I'd suggest you at least spend some time gathering evidence, as those of us who have been around here for awhile can recognize a bananahead when we see one.

If anyone is interested there’s a copy of Heiau of the Island of Hawaii: A Historic Survey of Native Hawaiian Temple... just listed on eBay. Long out of print, I’ve seen it sold for as much as $150 in very good condition. This item is probably more worn, but at under $35 if you’re interested in Big Island temples, even some in Puna now under lava this is a good source.

but at under $35
Good lookin' out Edge. I just snagged a copy in top condition on Amazon for under $32 which included a modest shipping fee and tax. I will proudly keep it next to my collection of MyMan!'s editions. Mahalo.

Having previously done plenty of Hitchens homework, I'm largely sitting this one for now. But Tom, I would hope you will at least define "evil" upfront so that it's clear of what exactly you're accusing all the Punatics on the list. Will keep an eye out though and make popcorn later for the show!

I haven't accused anyone here of being evil. Like MyManao, you are making stuff up. As for defining evil, it's behavior from someone that's morally reprehensible, deliberately causes suffering, has a willingness to physically hurt people for no good reason (and I include religion as no reason) and generally does not care about a peaceful society and chooses to injure people instead. I will add that if they enjoy doing that kind of stuff or show no remorse for their acts, then they are particularly evil.
There are a bunch of religions I can name that do this, plus Pele, but again, not once have I called anyone here evil. That's your claim, so hope you can back it up.

This you? - "No matter what, we're dealing with gods and goddesses who seem quite evil, according to what you posted."
As the Pahoa Jungle Love shirts say - "Pele is my homegirl", and she chills regularly in Puna, so sounds like a Punatic to me and is on MyManao's list. What other "gods" are you referring to "who seem quite evil", and to help out the Mod, are they also locals?

How is "morally reprehensible" defined? Seriously just trying to set up the discussion basics so the obvious terminology issues are sorted.
TomK - Do you really want me to post what I find evil about religion?
Yes, what do you find evil about religion in Hawai'i.
TomK - It's quite a list.
Have at it. (I'm off to make popcorn)
