Who has ever been labeled as a heretic on PW, or even close to it?

Sorry for being a clown, Rob, I'm just asking questions like you suggested.

I'm curious, I got my 'immunity' to measles el natural way.. i.e., when I was young there were no vaccines so my mom brought me over to play with a friend that had measles so as to purposely infect me. The theory being it's better to get the disease in our youth than when we're older. She did the same with mumps and chicken pox. And later in life said doing that stuff was one of the scariest things she ever did as a mom. So, am I to assume I am still immunized?

According to the CDC, about 3 out of 100 people who get 2 doses of measles vaccine (or about 7 out of 100 people who get 1 dose of a measles vaccine) will still get measles if exposed to the virus.

Further, in other instances, people can develop measles even if they responded to the vaccine previously if they have prolonged, intense exposure to measles, such as multiple measles cases among unvaccinated people in their household.

From the CDC website:
Q: Am I protected against measles?

There are several ways to know if you are protected against measles.
…
4. You were born before 1957.

I’ve also read (somewhere, no source) that there is little real world evidence that natural immunity protects you for life because there were few real world exposures or cases in the recent past when almost all young people were vaccinated.

The reality is, we’re in uncharted territory.  The maps are sketchy.  Best guess is natural immunity works. Probably.

You'll probably want to look into/talk to your doc about a measles (MMR) titer test, where they can test your IgG antibodies levels and recommend any necessary boosters. The labcorp page seems to be the most clear and informative, especially the FAQ section.

Oh, boo hoo. She never said she was answering your question. You aren't that important. No one is required to answer your questions. My advice is to talk to your doctor if you want an authoritative answer.
