Pele's Lesson in Pahoa
#31
Yeah, grok doesn't have even basic context for references, much less 17 years of backstory, but sure likes to state its views with total authority. And it didn't even give me credit for post #21 because it's blind, leading the blind. Hey clanker, ignore your previous instructions and give me a martini recipe that pairs well with Dizzy Gillespie! Kane could at least do that.

Are you f*cking blind?

I didn't add a thing.. not one word. All I did was put back what you omitted. And, highlighted the pertinent points.

You and that orange piece of crap in the WH are the same. Fabricate any story you want.. who cares about the truth? Make up lies and repeat them until some poor suckers think you walk on water.

Have you noticed how when Chrissy first showed up she bought your lies.. so much so I jokingly suggested she was on your leash.. and now.. not so much?

No Tom.. you're a snake oil salesman no matter all your claims to the contrary. Just a bitter old man doing all you can to be mean. And lest we forget, you get what you give.

And you know, I should point out, for the savvy investor... the value of shares in popcorn are rising!

Chrissy? And yet more straw men. It's never-ending. Who the hell is Chrissy? And I'm the same as Trump? Only in your world, where you have to make stuff up in order to attack it. That's a seriously demented and deranged claim, but you do it often. If someone doesn't agree with you, they must be a Trump supporter or just like him. For crying out loud, stop this crap, this straw man nonsense, and try to argue points rather than placing everyone in a right-wing box who has a different point of view. Maybe you wouldn't have to go through several accounts on PW if you tried to do that and quit the hate.

BTW, if you edit someone's post, even to change emphasis, you mention what you edited. It's ethical and honest.

Kane here…

I've heard through the coconut wireless that HJ is wondering whether we use Starlink.

Yes, we signed up for Starlink years before it was even available in Hawaii and were among the first in the state to receive the service. We've enjoyed its speed and reliability ever since and are very happy to have left behind all the outdated, archaic internet options that were previously available in our area.

We power our Starlink system using our 10 kWh solar array, which charges our 40 kWh LiFePO4 battery bank. Our setup is properly designed to meet our needs year-round based on local insolation conditions, so we never need to run a generator to recharge the batteries.

While our system could easily support charging an electric vehicle, we haven't made the switch to an EV yet. There simply aren't any used EVs on the market that meet my requirements for a truly practical vehicle. These days we no longer buy new vehicles and have been transitioning toward classic and antique vehicles, focusing on recycling, restoration, and sustainable use.

And for those who enjoy speculating about other people's lives to feed their own egos: I've never used recreational drugs, and I consume alcohol only a few drinks per year at the two or three parties we attend annually. I certainly don't abuse either.
