That is the Lolo Banana Guy.  He's been at the local farmers markets with his chocolate and nut covered treats.

"Lolo Bananas - Just a little nuts"  or something like that.

We wish him well on his new venture.

ETA:

Please don't un-alive me for my certainty.

How many of those giant packs of Kirkland paper towels can you get for $150? Gonna test this out... ^_^

Punatang: "That is the Lolo Banana Guy.". Untrue. Iʻve known him for many years. He was one of the unsung heroes of the 2018 eruption. Just an honest guy trying to make a living.
Certainty will be the death of us.

I finally had enough of Amazon's shipping shenanigans and started looking elsewhere, after 26 years with them. I looked into a Costco membership but they won't deliver to our address, and we *never* drive to Kona. Too far, too much for gas, and too old a vehicle. Not to mention the brain damage of driving there.

I checked Walmart+ and Target 360 and gave their free trials a shot.

I highly recommend them both. I have gotten in-store items delivered to my door in a couple hours by a local shopper in their vehicle, and shipped items have arrived within a few days, either via USPS, UPS, or FedEx.

I have found almost everything I had previously been ordering on Amazon through Walmart now and some at even much cheaper prices. Makes me feel better not supporting Bozos.

As always, YMMV, but since Walmart and Target have 30-day and 14-day free trials respectively, really not much to lose in checking it out.

ETA: I also had a new prescription from Walmart pharmacy delivered to me the same day. That was pretty amazing.

I also need to add that there is only one vehicle in this hale-hold, and it is driven to work 5x/week by my significant otter  so I am pretty much a stranded ferret unless I want to ride the Hele-On, so getting these sorts of deliveries is a definite "game changer" for me/us, as the hip kids say.

Otherwise, we try not to have to go to Hilo for anything more than maybe once a month, and often just did curbside pickup which can be a bit unreliable.

OMG...Punikahakaiferret...you had me laughing at 'significant otter'.

Appreciate the info on Walmart and Target delivery experiences.

We are actually wedded, but I prefer "significant otter"for them, whilst I am referred to as the "WTF".

Does Walmart apply the "location surcharge" if getting something shipped (not locally delivered) if signed up for their membership?

Target ships for free without a membership if paying using their branded credit card, though some categories require a $35 order minimum which is easy enough to do.  They frequently have really good sales.

Amazon prime is essentially free (and then some) if leveraging the 5% cash back using Prime visa.  But their shipping is difficult to put up with:

I cancelled Walmart+ a while back, after I noticed most items marked "unavailable" were really just items they didn't feel like shipping to Hawaii. Most of what I wanted, they didn't ship to Hawaii. The one thing I used a lot of was delivery from the store to my work in Hilo (home was too far). Don't forget you will be expected to tip in the app for each delivery, in addition to the membership cost.

Since then, Amazon started marking items "unavailable" for us Hawaii folks as well, and even fewer things ship than just a few years ago...
