What is it? Where is it?
Seems a bit far to have to go for a bite to eat

Definitely.  I only go there when I’m passing through Waimea for other reasons.  It’s a high calorie low carbon treat.

Here's my entry.  This is a What is it?  I'll tell you where.  I took this picture from my lanai in Pahoa Village on Dec. 19.  The subject was at an elevation of, I guess, 2,000 to 3,000 feet.

MmmmHmmm Rob, you had to make sure TomK was out of the game so you could present this one.    Big Grin

There was a special comet that night that was like a once in a lifetime thing.  I bet Tom could tell us all about it.

Cheers Tom.

I like your's better than mine but rather than multiple exposers a single one with blinking lights?

My reasoning, space junk/comet would have streaks of light more than that dot dot dot stuff..

That wasn't the only image I got that night. It was the best focus. Others were smaller and bigger all were moving slowly left to right.

Never saw anything like it before or since.

"The subject was at an elevation of, I guess, 2,000 to 3,000 feet." That threw me off since it was millions of miles away. Can you explain?
