I suspect Greggor is not showing up because Tam has gone totally negative and doesn't want to debate the future but wants to attack over Pohoiki and campaign money.
Tam hasn't come up with one idea that hasn't already been thought of.
How many food forests do we need that are being paid for by grants ? He even has pictures on his Facebook pages of him planting Ulu at Aunty Emilie's along with a group of Anti PGV Hawaiians.
Do the Hawaiian's need to be taught how to plant Ulu and Kalo ? Their ancestors brought them here.
There must be a dozen non profits in lower Puna already doing that.
More solar ? He wants the state to provide more incentives for solar. The taxpayers will pay.
Tam is against geothermal and that is one of the greatest natural gifts we have in Hawaii is geothermal Let's use it and yes Greggor is pro geothermal.
I read a post that Tam hastily took down after saying that he not going into this like a normal 1st time Rep.
He is not going to take the normal path to learn the ropes.
He is going to show up on the 1st day with all of his bills ready to introduce and he stayed that he has contacted representatives from other islands and has made contact with Republicans to form alliances.
No Thanks !!!

Yeah, God forbid Puna's elected representative does not spend the first year sitting like a bump on a log "learning" his/her place. Like when we were all kids and at big family gatherings had to sit at the "kids table!"
And yeah - who needs a Puna representative willing to work with everybody and build consensus. Especially with republicans. Just adapt the "You're from Puna, so sit there, shut up and do as you are told!" and "Puna Reps are to be seen and not heard!" mantra.
Unless, of course, you're saying republicans are just not even worth talking too. I am sure there are some who think that way, but nonetheless, we still got to work with them!
I suspect Greggor does not show up at these forums because he can't speak or debate on any topic by himself and needs to have his (Oahu based) "handlers" around to tell him what and what not to say.

Greggor has hosted 60 town halls in Puna since 2021. No handlers to tell him what to say.
He used these town halls to determine what the people of Puna wanted from him.
I guess if he gets reelected, You should go to one of his town halls.

Isn't the whole point of a candidate forum to find out what it is YOU might be getting, or is it OK to find out what you got is not what you wanted in the first place?

I'm under the impression our political representatives work for us.. we.. not me. I had no idea they work for you. Interesting.

Where did I say ANYBODY running for political office works for me? All I am asking is why Greggor feels that his participation in these candidate forums is not required, so WE the electorate as a whole, not just me, but we, you, me and everyone else, can see and hear what we are getting. Yes, it is interesting.

It sure would have been a GOOD IDEA if Greggor would have shown up for the campaign forums. It's just sad you are fine with him being a no show.
