Sorry, I forgot to mention - there is no contract with StarLink. Cancel at any time. Month to month. Worry free. (more at link)
If anything that is currently on the drawing board, ever finally launches their service to the public, and if it is a bigger better deal, you can switch immediately. However, I would advise avoiding any offers that require a long term contract.

Who knows if those other guys will ever actually get their copycats rolling?
Space is hard.
You said it yourself. Agree with yourself?

Of course, when Fred Flintstone carved the first wheel they said that was hard too.
If hard was an obstacle we'd all still be living next to Fred and Wilma.

StarLink gave us a free month for the storm
In as much as I am fully aware of the love a lot of Punawebbers have of bashing one billionaire while bitching and complaining about how long it takes to get their packages shipped to them by the USPS from another billionaire, but the good news is that when Lala knocked off your power - you don't have to pay!
But then remember that the now CEO of both HEI and its Parent Company, while not a nasty billionaire yet, will take home around 5 to 6 million this year!
Ponder that as you sit in the dark with no working fiber optic.

There is nothing to tip. Mount somewhere with no sky obstacles and mine found its own position. The mini had to be manually aimed with the help of the app. Simple. Don’t know what the V4 does but probably easy.
Cheers,

AST has satellites in orbit. They may begin service this year.
Rocket Lab / Iridium has had satellites in orbit for decades (do a Punaweb search), although any consumer service may be limited.
Leo has 400 satellites in orbit. They’re in the process of launching more.

Right, I was referring to product launch but I can see how you could get confused.

Thanks for modifying your post, changing your wording, then saying I got confused.
AST SpaceMobile and Leo both plan to launch begin their service in late 2026.
Add those services to Starlink, Hawaiian Tel & Spectrum, and there will be plenty to choose from. I’m paying $29 a month for Spectrum. With competition we should see great internet pricing in the near future.

I didn't change any wording. I added the words, (their service to the public) for clarity, and also added, "Agree with yourself?" as that is one of your themes.
I genuinely meant that I understood your confusion. Launch - space - etc. I get it. It's about the context. I wanted other readers to understand clearly. Breathe.

StarLink arrived already, already! Came home and it was waiting on the Lanai, several days ahead of schedule. They must have shipped a bunch to Hawaii in anticipation of folks needing them. Smaht! Gotta love a company that operates like this.
I love having the added resilience, saving money, supporting a company that under promises, over delivers, and looks out for folks in need.
Win-win.
Well, off to set it up.
