I'm just trying to blend in, here.
Sorry you feel the need to have to blend in when Puna has shown time and time again that it is such a welcoming, "come as you are" and full of the Aloha Spirt place to live.
Maybe you're doing something, um, wrong?

Lady Tang has a list!
And I very certainly imagine it's a quite lengthy list at that!

Posts that aren’t about Puna or Hawaii?
Point taken.
If only the same concern was shown over the consistent use of foul language, by one specific poster in particular, PunaWeb might just become the "gold standard."
But, as we also consistently see, some are more equal than others.

Moderator is not a full time job. Some posts that conflict with Punaweb rules are noticed and edited, some are not. There is no system, or category or user that is treated differently than any other. When someone is moderated or edited, they can certainly find another user who wasn’t edited as an example. Just as they can find an example of that same user getting edited, if they look. Sometimes we catch infractions sometimes we don’t.

Understood.
I’m all for space based. I had planned to watch the JAXA mission to Mars launch but every room on Tanegashima is booked. I own space stock and bought long before the recent hullabal-IPO.

I thought I’d include that comment after the Hawaii content in my same post.
I believe there are some posts made on Punaweb which include no Puna or Hawaii content at all?

Without any doubt! Just look at the post above this one!
At any event, it is indeed a sad day that UKIRT had to close, its contributions to science were no doubt invaluable, and while most of us are saddened by its loss, and all the reasons why, what I find even sadder is the ones who seem just giddy at its closure, calling it "the past" and hoping that all those employees "that are put out to pasture" due to its closure can somehow enjoy their "golden years" as if their life's work at making UKIRT that invaluable contributor to science everyone agrees UKIRT was and is more or less just like a disposable Kleenex and "who spends their days crying in their soup about a past they cling to."
Now, tell me about empathy.
