Classic Barber Shop

I am looking for a barber shop, where I can get a regular men’s haircut. I have looked all over Hilo, but for the most part I have found mostly salons, not men’s barbershops. By a regular men’s haircut, I mean no spiky hair, just a side part with short back and side. Does any one have any suggestions? There is a guy across street from Ben Franklins in the left hand end unit of that building. The older guy does better job than the younger one.

There is one in Hilo inside Pono's used cars. Pono's is located off of Kanoelehua Ave.

"A Nice Barbershop" @ 20 Furneaux Lane (between the 'north' end of Garden Exchange and the waterfront) 938-0221 Debbie or 989-7870 Lyle. Debbie cuts my hair and my wife's to her satisfaction. Lyle seems to do guys. Debbie is first come first serve and I think Lyle may be by appointment, but probably does walk-ins if he is there. My wife did not like the way a lady (not Jan) did my hair, the one time we went to Jan's.

There's a barber on the Hilo-side of the highway about a mile makai of Kurtistown.

I used to go to Supercuts either in Pahoa or Hilo. Then I tried the lttle place in the Keaau Market where we often get fruits and veges. Nice lady named Midori does the walk in cuts. She's really nice, does good work, and for $8.00 (plus tip) it's my choice. It's not a traditonal barber shop though they cut plenty of men's hair.

Jan's Barber & Beauty Shop - Pahoa, HI.

Barber shop on left and salon on right. They do a nice conservative cut for a very reasonable price. Throw in all the local gossip free of charge and you get more than your money's worth. [8D]

Thank you for the suggestions. I haven't got my hair cut yet, but I am trying to decide between getting my hair cut at Sel's Barber Shop or A Nice Barber Shop in Hilo tomorrow. Which place does a better businessman's haircut?
