[:p]Just wanted to say Happy New Year to everybody. I can't believe I am the first one, however I am +5 hours from Puna, maybe that's why.[

My 2013 wish for Punaweb is for more respect, less name-calling between a few members regardless of their differing views.
Thank you all, for the helpfulness and patience by so many members on so many different topics. Thanks again Rob for keeping the Punaweb Forum going!

Oh jeeze, I've been working the night shift for the last few days, nay, weeks, but it's too late to be the Grinch or Scrooge because that was a week ago, so bloody good New Year to everyone and for those on the Island that annoy the hell out of me by calling themselves "Scotch", hope you also had a a wonderful Hogmanay!
Happy New Year everyone, let's hope this year will see good news, prosperity and love from your family for everyone here!

My mother was a McNeil and her mother was a McLeod. Do I get half credit?

Oh, I don't know, Oink. There were no McNeil or McLeod clans. There were, however, the MacNeils and the MacLeods. The former seemed to have been a reclusive family who retired to the Outer Hebridean islands and the Isle of Barra whereas the MacLeods also seemed to be island folks, living in the Isle of Skye. Their chief was called "Macleod of Macleod" which I think is a lovely name! Perhaps this is where you got your ambition to live on an isolated island? Maybe a quarter credit for you!
You need a real Scottish name like Kerr to get more credit
Actually, if you ever hear someone say "I'm Scotch" then you should immediately give them no credit at all - no Scot calls themselves "Scotch" - well, unless they are referring to the whisky. And, incidentally, if you ever see someone claiming to be Irish and spelling it "Irish Whisky" you know they need locking up, and quickly.

That's a full credit although 1/10th of a credit suspended for the mispelling of Moffat.

Wow, tough grader. Perhaps I'll do better if you factor in a bell curve.
