One of the main sticky points in energy discussions is energy investment for the return (EROI).

On Fri. Jan 4, University of Hawaii at Hilo will have award winning systems ecologist Dr. Charles Hall presenting an address on the economic impact of rising energy prices "Peak Oil, EROI & Your FInancial Future in Hawaii" at 6:30pm on UCB 100 (the building in front & just slightly west -left- of the main entrance off of Kawilii)

This is a presentation that I am sure many here will want to attend.
