Septic Issues - Steam Thawing
#1
Anyone ever have to have their septic system steam thawed?

Probably not there, but that's my reality here in Wasilla, AK today. I suppose there is a Puna equivalent. What problems to you all see?

Can anything be done during the build to prevent these issues?

There - insulation, straw bales on top may be a temp fix for the season

Here - more likely to steam out of the ground if you're in zone 1

I think we're in zone 2 so hopefully no steam coming out of the ground. It seems our issue was human made, not from the cold as suspected.

No not really. Most of the septic systems are in the 1000' of the ocean. Otherwise cesspool....stuff goes in and if taken care of never a problem and never opened.
