Is this really a "new crop"? I've grown Japanese and Chinese dryland taro for several years. Very tasty, similar to ulu. I got them at the BIAN nurserymen's show in Hilo.

I think the person promoting dryland taro might mean new in the sense of a potential large scale commercial crop?
