Tropic Care 2026: No-Cost Medical Services for Our Community


We would like to share an excellent community resource with you. Tropic Care 2026 will be providing no-cost medical, dental, and optometry care starting June 19th across multiple locations in Puna, Ka'ū, and Kona. Services are provided by uniformed military members in partnership with the Hawai'i District Health Office (HDHO).
Key Event Details

• Dates: June 19 to June 28, 2026
  
• Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Last patient check-in is before 4:00 PM)
  
• Cost & Requirements: Services are completely free, and there is no need for insurance, ID, or proof of citizenship.
  
• Availability: Care is available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
  
• Preparation: Please arrive early and come prepared for a long wait by bringing your own water and snacks.

• Medical: Health Exams, Sports Physicals, and Behavioral Health
  
• Dental: Oral Exams, Extractions, and Fillings
  
• Optometry: Eye Exams and 1 Pair of Single Vision Glasses
