Mayor nominates PCDP Action Committee members

Aloha Puna Community Members,

It is my pleasure to announce that Mayor Kenoi has forwarded the nominations for the Puna CDP Action Committee to the County Council for confirmation. I will announce the date of the confirmation hearing and post the County Council agenda as soon as it is published.

I am very happy to announce the County Council confirmed the following nine members to serve on the Puna Community Development Plan Action Committee at today’s Council hearing:

· Barbara Bell (3 year term)

· Frank Commendador (3 year term)

· Madeline Greene (4 year term)

· Laurence Higgins (2 year term)

· Keikialoha Kekipi (4 year term)

· Jeffrey Krepps (2 year term)

· Wesley Owens (3 year term)

· Daniel Taylor (4 year term)

· John Timothy (Tim) Tunison (2 year term)



We would like to thank all of the appointees for making a commitment to serving the broader Puna Community.


The Action Committee members will participate in an orientation next weekend and will be sworn in and hold their first meeting shortly after. Once the details of the first meeting are finalized the date and agenda will be posted.



We would like to thank all of the applicants that applied to serve on the Action Committee and hope that you will continue to stay involved with the implementation of the Puna CDP.
