Our banana supplier has stopped selling, he charged $1.25/lb. Papayas seem high at 3 for $5, especially since I had paid 10/$1 in the good old days.

So my question is, where do you find the best prices for bananas and papayas in Puna? Preferably open most days, so not Maku’u Market.

If anyone has dealt with wry neck or leg weakness/crippling in their free-range ducklings, it’s worth considering vitamin deficiencies.

• Niacin (Vitamin B3) is key for leg issues, bowed legs, and the progressive crippling/weakness that can lead to paralysis-like symptoms.

• B-complex vitamins, Vitamin E, and selenium are commonly linked to wry neck (twisted neck) problems.

I’ve been supplementing the affected duckling with these four (niacin/B3, B-complex, Vitamin E, and selenium) and have seen excellent results so far. In the past, we unfortunately let these cases go, but the treatments are actually quite simple. They do require consistent dosing and some physical therapy to help retrain their neurological and muscular coordination, but the improvement is noticeable with time and patience.

Iʻll answer my own question in case others have this problem. A reverse image search said itʻs Lychee Erinose Mite. Recommended treatment includes pruning infected branches then using a chemical sulfur spray but Iʻll try the neem oil first as Iʻd rather keep it organic.
Not sure if this is the right place, or what?

Anyone know how to work on Honda generators, or who does, *that you would recommend*?

It's been a bit cloudy, so I decided to plug my generator (EU2200i) in to top off my solar batteries, and it only idles. It won't "fire up" to make enough power after starting, running for a few minutes, and then plugging it into my solar. It just stays at idle.

It is only about 3 years old, and has only been used not even half-a-dozen times for this. I run it every few months to keep it in shape, changed the oil, fuel (ethanol free, of course). I just don't know enough about them to know what else to consider.

Have a msg in to my solar person for advice as well...
Help!
I'll update this thread as needed in case it could help anyone else.
