Kailua Bay is a vision of.......?
#1
"Kailua Bay is a vision of blue with regular sightings of a myriad of animals from spinner dolphins to humpback whales to the bright yellow tang."

"But it’s a facade."

"The bay has been a dumping ground for years,..."

Nearly 5 tons in tires removed from Kailua Bay : Big Island Now

So, aside from all the other junk dumped into Kailua Bay, how did these tires get there? Two of them from an airplane?

I'd sure love to know the source of this tire dumping - is this illegal dumping or is this a sanctioned official method of tire disposal?

Hawaii residents lack imagination. Simply dumping tires into the ocean when so much more could be done with them?

https://www.sitka.com/porky/porky.htm

"April 1st, 1974
Residents of Sitka, Alaska were alarmed when the long-dormant volcano neighboring them, Mount Edgecumbe, suddenly began to belch out billows of black smoke. People spilled out of their homes onto the streets to gaze up at the volcano, terrified that it was active again and might soon erupt. Luckily it turned out that man, not nature, was responsible for the smoke. A local practical joker named Porky Bickar had flown hundreds of old tires into the volcano's crater and then lit them on fire, all in a (successful) attempt to fool the city dwellers into believing that the volcano was stirring to life."

I...I don't wanna say that's funny...but that's funny!

(The horrific pollution produced from burning tires notwithstanding, but still!)

However, what a sad situation that this sort of pollution goes on here; dumping tires in the ocean. But, added to the dumping of vehicles, trash, stinking rotting carcasses, etc., etc., etc., should we be surprised?

Ugh.

Salamat Mr. Terracore .. i REMEMBER that !

And yeah Punikahakaiferret, TONS of "drop offs" about. Super stink when riding up in the hills. Some grass scenes ... Can only imagine when the brush cutter rolls up. They should paint those black as well.

Check out the blue and pink tied plastic bags spaced along the highway heading out of town. That's NOT from a Red Wrangler Tourist.

Salamat!

Love the new little picture thingy of the goofy old man who looks like a badly drawn Simpson’s character spilling water all over his chest! Showing a complete lack of coordination and ability to aim for his mouth!
