Edited Dec 14, 2024 to clarify the purpose of this thread. Tulsi Gabbard was a long time resident of Hawaii, and served as Congressperson in the US House of Representatives. During that time she made many questionable decisions for our district, which only seem to get worse, see link to article below. She was a “Democrat” now a “Republican.” She served in the military, but claims she’s against wars. We in Puna deserved a better and more honest representative.
If posting here please keep links and comments related to Puna and Hawaii, and if necessary describe how her actions affect us or affected us.
Who is Tulsi Gabbard? And who made her career possible?
Tulsi Gabbard has made a lot of questionable moves in her career and during her tenure as our representative, but taking money from an unregistered Russian agent, even if it’s only chump change is one of the strangest. She does seem to like the authoritarian dictators of the world:
While the combined total of those donations isn’t colossal by any means—a whopping $59.95—they do raise questions about why an alleged Russian agent, tasked with currying favor with U.S. politicians, would zero in on Gabbard, and only Gabbard.
That strange pattern continued even after Gabbard left office in 2021. This year, as Putin prepared to invade Ukraine, Gabbard parroted Russian talking points, urging the Biden Administration to guarantee that Ukraine will never join NATO—a longtime Kremlin demand.
