RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 02-23-2017 reiterate the same things over and over again Have you listened to the Protectors talk about being disenfranchised due to problems with plane tickets, or other endlessly repetitious impediments to their appearance at the hearing? Try it sometime, see how long you last. wishing The spirit of Mo'oinanea views and opinions were allowed as well. * Do you know the qualifications for a Mo'oinanea translator and interpreter? Please share. * Would PUEO be able to bring their own interpreter to make certain the Mo'oinanea's statement as entered into the transcript is correct? * Will PUEO be allowed to question spirits they've located who are in favor of the TMT? RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - knieft - 02-23-2017 quote: I watch about once a week on average. I takes me that long to recover from what I see and hear. It really comes up as the most absurd and sad thing I have ever witnessed "live" (as opposed to history) in my 5+ decade life. That something like the TMT can be held hostage by the folks I see on those videos--I don't have the proper words (though plenty of improper ones). That, in general, intelligence is usurped by the opposite... Those poor scientists sitting there, somehow patiently, and be "questioned" by "protectors"...it's not onion.com or SNL, it's actually happening. If Ige isn't going to step in and put and end to this (can he? or is there no antidote to this lawsuit crap), I hope Trump does. I wonder if it even on the radar at the national level. The _impunity_ of those <deleted> wasting everyones time, money, and intelligence! I hope karma does it's thing in time. Kirt RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Chunkster - 02-23-2017 ". . . I hope Trump does. I wonder if it even on the radar at the national level." This is one of the very few advantages I can see to a Trump presidency, i.e., he just might put an end to some of the more ridiculous elements of the one-party state government and the so-called Hawaiian sovereignty movement(s). Probably a misplaced hope, though. Edited for typos. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - kalakoa - 02-23-2017 Ige could step in, but he won't. Trump could probably solve this, but he won't. I hope everyone is making plans and saving money for the local economy post-TMT-fail. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 02-23-2017 I hope everyone is making plans and saving money for the local economy post-TMT-fail. I'm setting up a fund to download the Todd Rundgren song "I Don't Want To Work, Just Want To Bang On A Drum All Day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1YB8oOLsjw If the economy is good before any final post-TMT-fail point of no return, I hope to have enough in the account to buy a decent drum too. So I can play along. You could never convince a monkey to give you a banana by promising him limitless bananas after death in monkey heaven. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Tink - 02-23-2017 Forget the dollar, start building a food pantry as besides the local economy tanking worse from the TMT debacle, the food shortage from nobody to harvest and process the crops is a larger problem that is not too far behind it. Community begins with Aloha RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - kalakoa - 02-23-2017 Pipeline protest camp: cleared! http://www.cnn.com/2017/02/22/us/dakota-access-pipeline-evacuation-order/ As for the "protectors", how about recognizing their Hawaiian sovereignty ... that way they can be deported. Problem solved! RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - Eric1600 - 02-23-2017 quote:Ige has said he supports the TMT and that the laws will be enforced. However, it's hard to say how it might play out. Trump won't care. In the case of the pipeline, he had stock in the company involved in the pipeline. And while he claims no financial ties, it's unproven that it's true. In the case of the TMT, he cares less about non-profit problems, much less science. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - kalakoa - 02-23-2017 Ige has said he supports the TMT and that the laws will be enforced. This wonderful sentiment is also completely irrelevant unless it also happens in a timely fashion. RE: TMT - Contested Case Hearing Status - Hilo - galileo - 02-23-2017 quote:Richard Ha and his fellow PUEO founders should be commended, not disparaged, for their concerns about Hawaiian children and the future of the Big Island economy. Dwight Vicente is the one who is truly a broken record, always asking stupid questions about the Northwest Ordinance of 1787. He should have never been allowed into the hearing. He thinks its actually funny to bring up the same irrelevant issues week after week, but he's made an ass out of himself every time he opens his mouth. I'm sure the local construction companies won't be laughing if their contracts go down the drain. It's too bad that Judge Judy was not running the hearing; she would have thrown him out on the street a long time ago. |
