Like a few have done, I'd also like to commend Judge Amano on the way she handled the entire hearing, with being fair and stringent with all parties. just my opinion

actual building of large structures like the proposed TMT building(s) requires proper egress in order to transport large pre-engineered segments of said structure(s)
TMT requires electricity and bandwidth too, so obviously any infrastructure build-out is only to support TMT, and cannot ever be used for any other purpose?

That's true. But it doesn't mean the road was built specifically for construction of the TMT. Larger components might now be delivered because the road was built. Once again we need to look to our good friends, correlation and causation.

Protest supporters can only pray that the Protectors hold out long enough to get rightful entitlements which weren't even on the table prior to the protests and that is something.
So are you saying the Protectors find these places "sacred," right up until the price is right?

The first CCH hearing officer took over a year to issue his preliminary findings, which the petitioners had an opportunity to rebut before the BLNR could take action. This is why it took from 2011 until 2013 before the BLNR finalized the (now invalidated) CDUP.

In some ways I think the Saddle road project was done with a TMT project, money and more in mind.
Sen Inouye may have been part of many secret meetings that helped spell out our islands future over the years to come. He also loved the military, astronomy, and earmarked money. Those years of earmarked millions may have had grander ideas or plans attached to them than what we the general public was ever made aware of. Senator Inouye did not just think or plan for 5-10 years in advance, more like 50-100 years. jmo

Fifty foot wide pieces of the TMT would need to be brought up the mountain from the ocean. This was known by some like the TMT reps and Island Senators more than a decade ago, as was the differences i EIS reports. Millions worth of Infrastructure improvements would have had to be done in Chile or India also if the TMT project was destined there, probably hundreds of millions more. jmo's

But there's another claim which is really outrageous. Someone was being questioned about the effects of the TMT on the protesters, and claimed that the level of trauma was the same as US veterans who fought in Iraq.
It may have been Bonnie, I'd have to check the recording.
Since when does getting arrested and eventually being cleared of all charges compare to fighting door to door in Fallujah, seeing your buddies killed right in front of you and then having that scene replayed night after night in your sleep?
