The fact that you greeted them in your bath robe is all telling to me. All your other statements just support the fact - You lack basic social skills, and for that you may eventually be fined, get kicked out or have to leave the island.

You don't seem to want to acknowledge it, but it is exactly the point.
You never got the final and you are illegally living in it. Yes, many others have done similar but you happened to get caught. You created the issue so own it and get it fixed.

When three inspectors show up to your house, greet them with professional courtesy, offer them something to drink or eat, give them your undivided attention, take notes of everything they require, confirm the list is complete before they leave, get the procedure for a follow up visit, thank them, do the work on the list, get it reinspected, and move on with your life.

it all boils down to this in society there are rules, and we all must follow the rules. you can not blame anyone except yourself, you did not follow the rules , you chose to think you are above the rules and that they do not apply to you . you scoff the rules and the law .
if you do not follow the rules then you should expect to someday , sometime be held accountable for your arrogant actions . your attitude is telling that you are accustomed to not following laws and rules .
you have gone out of your way to inflict cruel and vicious attracts against numerous people on the internet without any thought to the harm done to their reputation . i am sure that the people on the receiving end of your harsh rhetoric , were also trying to figure out how to protect themselves from further harassment.

OK.
An appointment with Mr. Lee (public works boss) and Mr Yamamoto (building department boss) resulted in the following. Apparently they don't have to tell me who the complainant is until they 'order' me to do something. they have yet to complete their report, which is going to say that they have yet to complete the inspection...(you follow?)...
They are saying that the fact that three inspectors showed up on my doorstep unannounced is a random occurrence done for my convenience. i did not get the assurances i wanted that this practice would stop. i still intend to pursue this. i did not get the copy of the complaint as requested. i received instead a copy of the internal work order listing the complaint, which says that "the complainant is concerned with 4 un-permitted structures on the property and how waste water is being disposed of". This complaint was received on line. Building regulations are only enforced by complaint. there is no requirement for information on permits or regulations.
i did not get a copy of their complaints procedures or the inspection process. As i understand it, very few of us are actually allowed to live here. they simply avoided that subject altogether.
As far as the process goes, as it concerns me, they will carry out a new inspection, this time with appointments, and make a new report which will probably say that my current permit is invalid. once they have decided that i am indeed living in a 'un-permitted structure', i will be required to obtain a permit retrospectively. at this point they will be required to provide me with the name of the complainant. retrospective permits involve providing an architect with detailed plans of the cabin which, because i designed it on google sketch up, i just so happen to have!! that 'first step' is likely to cost a couple hundred. the other three 'structures' (which included my dogs kennel!!) don't count.
i think my next step is legal advice. thanking you all for the good wishes and support. please be assured that my family and i will not be bullied, and that i will do all that i can to prevent this from happening to someone else.

Read Chapter 1 of the Building Code, "Administration". They can make the "rules" more restrictive with an approved ordinance, but not anything less restrictive. Good luck finding out who the complainant is unless you are sitting in a court room, for they are allowed safety from retribution until that point.
