Look like there's corruption and wrangling on both sides of the issue and the good folks stuck in the middle are just trying to build a telescope.
Let them build it.

I'm not thinking that far ahead right now, mainly because whatever happens it will be out of the observatories' hands. All we can really think about is how to keep our staff and facilities safe in that situation.

Apparently, the Native Hawaiian Elites want 1/2 of 1.4 billion to let TMT happen according to some rumors.
If it was me, I'd go after OHA for official misconduct, that is , extortion in that case.
