It is good authentic NY style pizza except for the fact that the slices are 1/2 NY size.
If more than 2 people are going, and you can almost agree on toppings, it is cheaper to buy their pizza at the pie rate rather than by the slice.
Edited to add that they do deliver to Orchidland on Fri/Sat evenings.

Tough to argue about it, as taste is subjective. I agree it's pricey but think it's very good. Sure wish they had deep dish, though...

Jumping back in ... Mikes almost real, but just cannot get over the portions in both slice and aloha.
Mikes fans ... Do yourselves a favor and go to the woodfire in Hilo one day. Better always in all ways. IMO.

Hilo's too far...most of the time. But happy to try the woodfire when I'm in town. Where is it?
At first I thought Mike's lacked aloha too, but I've had some positive encounters of late that changed my mind. Last time I called in an order he goofed it up, and had to redo one of the pies. When I got to his shop he explained the delay, apologized and gave me a nice discount.
Goes without saying, the best way to eat pizza is to make it yourself. Someday I'll actually follow my own advice.

Had to dig for link but Amalfatano's Dough upon my very fist bite took me straight back to my attempts @ Carols suggestion of this http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2012/03/jim-laheys-no-knead-pizza-dough-recipe.html
But more complex, slightly sweeter in taste and cooked above my oven's 500 max.
Crust is thicker and not like Mike's, Woodfire or any one else's IMO but this is a good thing as its something different and still delicious for the Pizza Connoisseur.
The price + toppings make it a must try ...
Punafish ... The old Chevrolet Dealership Parking Lot after 5 on Tuesdays and Sundays but I think they do Maku'u as well ... I'll check.

yeah...not a fan of Mikes at all. I hope he makes it here tho. As some people obviously like it and his place does look nice. So that's a plus.

Amalfatano's is great.
Kelly makes a delicious antipasto salad.Always made up fresh.You may have to wait a few minutes but it's worth it.
The sub sandwiches are also excellent !!
