I went on Shane's tour a couple months ago. It was amazing and felt very safe and the operation was professional. We really didn't get all that close to the entry. I didn't bring my 300' tape measure though. I don't know why everyone gets in a tizzy about this. Some people are more adventurous than others and willing to take risks that others are not, even when they are fully informed. I feel a lot more worried flying Island Air than standing new flowing lava.

I'll take Shane's trip if I can. I'm not worried about the Darwin effect as I'm done with reproduction, although I still like to practice, just in case.
