RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - kalakoa - 06-23-2019 misinformation being spread on various HPP facebook pages Facebook spreading fake news to influence an election? Where have I heard that before... RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - mermaid53 - 06-23-2019 Aloha kalakoa, this doesn't have anything to do with an election...sorry if I was unclear in my previous post. The misinformation is that there is NO BOARD right now because there is a board of three. The GM has stated if you have less than 5 on the board, there is no board. Bylaws and state laws has specific language as quoted in my previous post....remaining directors may fill the vacancy blah blah blah" even if it constitutes less than a quorum. Therefore, there is a board, contrary to what the rumors are. RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - reni - 06-23-2019 wow, Mermaid, I have no clue as to the maneuver....please do keep us posted... I remain impressed with your self education of our bylaws, non profit regulations , volunteerism & tenacity. Mahalo RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - Stillwater - 06-23-2019 Mermaid I’m curious about mailboxes are we going to get them? What’s your thoughts about all the other directors resigning? Were they awful? What about the other one the president isn’t he one of them too? The fb pages you’re talking about aren’t these people HPP owners too? Taking with a grain of salt but from what I and many others say the subjects are fact and real why not be transparent do we have a director that said a racist comment during a meeting? Is this ok with you? You think a grain of salt works for that? RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - Rob Tucker - 06-23-2019 Without a quorum the board may be limited to filling some vacancies. RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - Stillwater - 06-23-2019 How many do they have to have for a quorum? And how many do they have now? RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - kalakoa - 06-23-2019 Specious technicalities. HPP couldn't get its act together with a full Board. RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - Kenney - 06-24-2019 Wow, lots of changes. At least our only two honest, law abiding, much maligned Board Members remain. You know, Leslie, the one who asked how our roads were when she first considered running for the Board, and Mermaid, who has consistently attended multiple meetings, served on Committees, gone to bat for member’s rights and kept us informed year after year. You haven’t seen her bail or run away to the Mainland like many of our past BOD Members after ego and power driven actions inflict damage to our Community. Last I heard, the BOD President hasn't resigned, but he rarely attends meetings anyway, even though he took the Oath of Office like everyone else and signed on the dotted line indicating he would attend meetings. I’m guessing mailboxes are on the back burner until the BOD can be filled and 12 million $ Bond requirements are met. Another old BOD saddled us with that debt, and promptly left the area. RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - dan d - 06-24-2019 If u all ck your facts ,u might have a different opinion HPP RE: HPP BIZ: Part the second - Kenney - 06-24-2019 If you’ve lived in HPP for nearly 40 years, and seen many many BOD’s , and 5 or 6 bumbling Managers, been to countless horrible Meetings, and seen the result of the BOD serving itself instead of the needs and votes of the Membership, you would have a different opinion . |
