RE: New ideas - John S. Rabi - 08-23-2006 Get a Notary Public license, there is none in the Pahoa area! Aloha, John S. Rabi, ABR,CM,CRB,FHS,PB,RB http://www.JohnRabi.com Typically Tropical Properties 75-5870 Walua Road, Suite 101 Kailua-Kona, HI 96740 (808)327-3185 RE: New ideas - jdirgo - 08-23-2006 Actually there is a Notary in the Pahoa area, but she's a travelling notary or you have to go to her house. But its true that one with a business location and fixed hours that they are open could do well. I know it may cost some, but it may be worth it. Also do a myspace page and do friend requests to everyone living in your area. I liked the idea about adding coffee and treats too :-) Good Luck. RE: New ideas - Jody - 08-23-2006 Isn't there a coffee shop right next door? RE: New ideas - jdirgo - 08-23-2006 Yes, Sirius Coffee. John Dirgo, RA, ABR, e-PRO Island Trust Properties, LLC 808-987-9243 cell RE: New ideas - Howard - 08-23-2006 Why not try putting a picture of your dogs in the store window to attract attention? You could have a sign next to the picture clearly identifying the services your business has to offer, and people who stop to look at the dogs will see the sign too. Howard RE: New ideas - Da Stef - 08-23-2006 Honestly, I drove past it 20 times before I even noticed that you guys were there. So you need to do something to increase your visiblity. Also, this might not be in your control, but that concrete color of the building is soooo dreary that I always feel the need to get away from it. I love coffee shops, but have never once stepped inside Sirius Coffee. So maybe you and the surrounding businesses could pitch in and get a paint job. stef RE: New ideas - leilaniguy - 08-23-2006 A couple of days ago I mentioned your new business to my niece. She said they're almost ready to open. I said you already are. She said the place looks vacant from the street. Clean, white, empty. Edited by - leilaniguy on 08/23/2006 21:02:52 RE: New ideas - Loretta - 08-23-2006 I agree...the building is still the same old beaten down colors and look. I think it would help to spruce up the outside a bit. Pahoa Hardware has been out of there a long time...and it really does not look like anything else is going on there. Pahoa is a town of unlimited colors on the store fronts....go for it!! Also, do you pack stuff for mailing? Like an unusual shaped object that needs some protection around it in the box? RE: New ideas - Punamom - 08-23-2006 Remember that big news article about the pahoa emporiums paint job? How the colors were all feng shui!Go for it! Thats another idea get some of the local newspapers (journal, herald)to do a feature story on ur new business. FYI:there is good paint for sale for 1.00 a gallon at the Keaau recycle center.there is also a painting contractor in Keaau business park (left side)(can't think of the name but its a common local one)that sells paint for 25.00 for 5 gallons (whatever color they happen to be mixing that day)and sometimes they give away the leftover job paint for free. ![]() |
