The Krafft's. Backstory is there were thousands of photos and hundreds of hours of video they put together over the years. Much of it archived and never saw the light of day. Then they "released" it all somehow, and two different filmmakers decided to make a documentary about them using the archive.

Fire of Love is one, done by National Geographic. I think you got to go to the theater to see it. I have not.

The Fire Within: A Requiem for Katia and Maurice Krafft, was done by Werner Herzog (the most German person in the world). Seen this, paid $3 on Amazon to rent it. Enjoyed it, Werner's narrative, and especially some of the cooler videos. My fav is of a lava river coming off of Mauna Loa in 1984. They don't tell you that in the movie, I saw it and said "hey, that looks like...." and had to look it up, but yeah, it was her on Mauna Loa in 1984.

On Hulu, Mary McCartney’s doc If These Walls Could Sing is showing.  Great history of Abbey Road recording studio, with music by the Beatles, her dad Paul, Ringo, Pink Floyd, Elton John, Jimmy Page.

Biggest revelation?  According to Ringo, the album Abbey Road was almost recorded - - here on Big Island!

We thought, ‘The next album, we’ve got to go to like Egypt and the pyramids. We have to go to some volcano in Hawaii!

All Quiet on the Western Front is now streaming on Netflix. It's fairly faithful to the book, for better and worse.

Another vote for "All Quiet on the Western Front". I think this is the second remake of the original movie and it is superb. It's not for the weak-hearted though and thankfully free of all the nonsense it would have if it was made in Hollywood.

Highly recommend "The 12th Man" on Amazon Prime.

It's based on a true story about Jan Baalsrud.

New Avatar flick is out with 3D option. I haven't seen it yet. The visuals are likely worth the price of admission.
